Silken Pact: Official Rules & Mechanics
These are the official rules governing all Silken Vanguard matches. All participants are expected to understand and follow these guidelines strictly. Failure to comply may result in penalties.
Tournament Format & Frequency
The Silken Pact is a grand inter-House tournament that celebrates unity through strategy and cooperation. Unlike the Silken Vanguard, which crowns a single champion House, the Silken Pact is a battle of alliances — where diplomacy, teamwork, and balance determine victory.
- Announcements and match schedules will be made in advance, giving all Houses sufficient time for negotiation and preparation.
- Matches are scheduled by the Squad Council and may be held periodically or seasonally, depending on the squad community calendar.
- Special Editions of the Silken Pact may feature unique rules (e.g., altered alliance structure, custom scoring, or themed matches).
Alliance Formation
- Alliances are formed through diplomacy among House Wardens.
- Each Warden may negotiate with others to form a three-House coalition, known as a Silken Alliance.
- The final alliance must be mutually agreed upon and declared publicly in the official match thread or GC.
- The Squad Authority will verify and approve alliances to ensure fairness and legitimacy.
- Once declared, alliances are locked for the duration of the tournament.
- No House substitutions or transfers will be allowed mid-event.
- The Squad Authority reserves the right to veto or adjust alliances that create unfair advantages or violate the spirit of diplomacy.
Coalition Leadership
- Each alliance must designate one (1) Coalition Leader to act as the in-game captain and official representative of the alliance.
- The Coalition Leader must be a House Champion from one of the allied Houses.
- The Coalition Leader is responsible for:
- Leading the alliance in-game and coordinating team strategy.
- Announcing manual bans and substitutions in the official match thread or GC.
- Communicating directly with the Squad Authority or match host on behalf of the alliance.
- The Coalition Leader must be present in all games.
Team Composition & Substitutions
- Each alliance will field a six-player roster, composed of two (2) players from each participating House.
- Among the six players, five (5) will play in each game, while one (1) serves as a substitute.
- Matches are played in a Best of 5 format unless otherwise specified for special editions.
Player Eligibility
- Only Sentinels holding any of the following ranks are eligible to participate in Silken Vanguard matches:
- Trusted Sentinel
- Loyal Sentinel
- Elite Sentinel
- Honorary Sentinel
- Eternal Sentinel
- If a House is found to have fielded an ineligible player, the match may continue; however, the House will incur a penalty of –500 House Points for each ineligible player identified.
Match Structure & Seeding
- Seeding and Assignment
- Houses are initially arranged into alliances through the Diplomacy Phase.
- The Squad Authority may adjust pairings to ensure balanced competition.
- Seeding within the bracket will reference the most recent Official House Rankings.
- Match Format
- The Silken Pact features only two alliances, each composed of three Houses.
- Both alliances compete in a Best of 5 series.
- Each game victory counts as 1 point toward the alliance total.
- The first alliance to secure 3 victories is declared the Silken Pact Champion.
- No additional rounds or playoffs will be held; the outcome of this series determines the final winner of the tournament.
Match Readiness & Defaults
- Once all players in the lobby have set their status to “Ready”, it is considered an official signal of match readiness.
- Any issues or substitution requests must be raised before clicking Ready.
- The initial waiting period before declaring a default is 20 minutes from the scheduled match time.
- This may be extended up to 30 minutes at the discretion of the Squad Authority for valid reasons.
- Beyond this time, the absent team may be disqualified, and penalties will apply.
Additional Ban Mechanics
- Carried from Silken Vanguard – Updated for Alliance Format
- Each alliance is entitled to two (2) manual hero bans, separate from the in-game draft system.
- The Coalition Leader must announce these bans before lobby creation in the official match thread or communication channel.
- Both alliances and the hosting Authority must acknowledge these bans prior to match start.
- These bans are binding and treated as official draft bans.
- Penalty for Violation:
- First offense: -200 House Points from each House within the offending alliance.
- Second offense: -300 House Points from each House within the offending alliance.
- Third offense: Automatic disqualification of the entire allied alliance from the match.
- If a Prize Booster is active, the same scaling penalties apply to the alliance’s total rewards:
- First offense: Deduction of 20% of rewards from the Prize Booster.
- Second offense: Deduction of 30% of rewards.
- Third offense: Forfeiture of all rewards from the Prize Booster.
Match Rules
- Matches are conducted in the standard Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Draft Pick Mode.
- Role selection is not locked; teams are free to assign positions during draft.
- Players are responsible for ensuring their devices, connections, and settings are ready before clicking Ready.
Interference & Pause Rules
Default Consequences
- Any alliance that fails to appear for their scheduled match will incur:
- –200 House Points from each House within the absent alliance.
- Each House Warden of the absent alliance will be penalized –250 Silk Coins.
- Matches won by default are treated as cancelled games —No House Points, badges, or titles will be granted to the opposing alliance.
- This ensures fairness and discourages participation through defaults.
Rewards & House Points
- The winning alliance will gain a total of 900 House Points, divided equally among the three Houses (300 each).
- These points will be deducted from the existing House Points of the losing alliance (300 per House).
- All players from the winning alliance — including the substitute — will receive the Silken Pact Badge as a mark of unity and honor.
- The House where the Coalition Leader originates will receive an additional 100 Silk Coins credited to its House Fund.
