I. Overview
The strength and cohesion of each House within the Silk Sentinels lie in its leadership structure. To ensure fair governance, accountability, and direction, each House is led by three key officers: the House Warden, House Deputy, and House Champion.
These positions carry both honor and responsibility and are governed by specific appointment protocols and role expectations, as detailed below.
II. Appointment and Dismissal
House Warden
- Appointed by the Squad Wizard through the Squad Authority.
- Subject to removal by the Squad Wizard or Squad Authority at any time.
- A Warden whose rating drops below 50% shall automatically trigger a Motion of Confidence, to be conducted via secret voting and organized exclusively by the Squad Authority.
House Deputy and House Champion
- Appointed by the House Warden.
- Appointments must be endorsed and approved by the Squad Authority.
- The House Warden retains the right to reassign or replace these officers, subject to Squad Authority consent.
III. Roles and Responsibilities
A. House Warden
Role: Chief executive and leader of the House.
Primary Function: Directs House operations, ensures alignment with Squad goals, and represents the House at the Squad level.
Duties:
- Oversees the general activity, performance, and cohesion of the House.
- Develops internal goals, strategies, and directives, especially for tournaments and seasonal events.
- Assigns roles, coordinates lineups, and motivates House members.
- Represents the House in councils, leadership forums, and strategic deliberations.
- Reviews and nominates House members for rewards, badges, or transfers.
- Hosts House-wide meetings and ensures ongoing communication.
- May initiate internal votes or member evaluations as needed.
B. House Deputy
Role: Second-in-command and operational support to the House Warden.
Primary Function: Assists in executing strategic directives and acts in place of the Warden when necessary.
Duties:
- Assists in the planning and management of House events, scrims, and competitions.
- Temporarily assumes leadership in the absence or unavailability of the House Warden.
- Participates in the recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of new members.
- Collects feedback from members and communicates them to the Warden and Squad Authority.
- Supports tactical decisions, including scrim scheduling and roster management.
- Helps uphold discipline and track member commitments.
C. House Champion
Role: Premier player and public representative of the House in competitive settings.
Primary Function: Serves as the House’s lead competitor and symbol of excellence.
Duties:
- Represents the House in all official matches, especially high-stakes tournaments and featured events.
- Maintains a high level of in-game performance and serves as a model of skill and discipline.
- Participation is mandatory for flagship events such as Silken Vanguard. Failure to appear may result in penalties to the House.
- Collaborates with House leadership on competitive strategy and gameplay improvement.
- Provides mentorship and technical support to new or rising members.
- May be assigned ceremonial or honorary roles during Squad events and recognitions.
IV. Conduct and Expectations
All House Officers are expected to:
- Maintain decorum, uphold the values of the Silk Sentinels, and embody good sportsmanship.
- Exercise their authority with fairness and transparency.
- Remain responsive to members and accessible for coordination and conflict resolution.
- Participate regularly in official events, including leadership briefings and planning sessions.
V. Amendments
This is subject to amendments or ratification by the Squad Authority in consultation with House Wardens or upon the directive of the Squad Wizard.
