Code of Duel: Official Rules & Mechanics
These are the official rules governing all Silken Duel matches. All participants are expected to understand and follow these guidelines strictly. Failure to comply may result in penalties.
Tournament Format & Frequency
- Silken Duel will be announced a day before the match day.
- It will be held on a quarterly basis, with occasional exemptions at the discretion of the Squad Authority.
- Each of the four House must assign two players to represent them.
- All eight participants will be randomly paired into a single elimination bracket.
- All matches are played in a Best of 3 format.
- All matches are fought in Classic mode, meaning mirror picks (same hero on both sides) are allowed.
- The initial waiting period before declaring a default is 20 minutes from the scheduled match time.
- The waiting period may be extended up to 30 minutes at the discretion of the Squad Authority depending on valid communication or special circumstances.
- Beyond the allowed waiting time, the absent team or player may be disqualified, and penalties will apply as defined in the tournament rules.
Role Selection
- Before the tournament begins, each player must declare one (1) of the following official roles as their locked role throughout the Silken Duel: Assassin, Fighter, Tank, Marksman, Mage, Support.
- The selected role will be the only role that player may use for the entire duration of the tournament.
- Role Format per Match:
- Round 1: Player 1’s role
- Round 2: Player 2’s role
- Round 3 (if needed): Randomly assigned by the Marshal
- Players may choose any hero within their locked role category (based on official in-game role classification).
Mid Lane Only
- Players must stay in mid lane.
- No roaming to top or bottom lanes unless both outer turrets in that lane have been destroyed.
- Mid-lane minions may be cleared, but pushing mid is not allowed.
Buffs & Creeps
- Buffs are allowed excluding turtle buff.
- Creeps in top/bottom lanes may only be cleared when they reach the third turret.
Interference & Pause Rules
- Spectators are welcome to watch, but they must mute comms and avoid any interaction with players during an ongoing duel.
Each player is allowed one pause per match, with a maximum of 2 minutes, and only for valid reasons such as lag or device issues.- No rematches will be allowed for:
- Incorrect hero or spell selection
- Poor internet connection
- All players must double-check their setup before the match begins.
Victory Conditions
- A round will be won when any one of the following occurs:
- A player achieves 3 kills
- A player destroys the first turret
- The match reaches 10:00, and the Marshal declares a dominance winner based on:
- Gold lead
- Kill count
- Turret HP damage
No Show Penalty
- Any player who fails to show up for their scheduled match without valid reason will receive a 500 Squad Points penalty.
- The house leader that the absent player represents will also be penalized with 250 Silk Coins.
- The house itself will be penalized with 100 House Points.
Rewards & House Points
- Winner receives the Silken Duel Champion Badge
- Winner earns 500 Silk Coins
- Winner’s House receives 500 Silk Coins as House Fund
- House Points Mechanics:
- The House of the Champion will receive 1,000 House Points, while the Runner-Up’s House will earn 500 House Points, even in defeat.
- These points will be deducted equally from the existing House Points of all other Houses, excluding the Champion and Runner-Up.
