Code of Vanguard: Official Rules & Mechanics
These are the official rules governing all Silken Vanguard matches. All participants are expected to understand and follow these guidelines strictly. Failure to comply may result in penalties.
Tournament Format & Frequency
Scheduling
- Silken Vanguard will be announced in advance before match day, allowing sufficient preparation time for all Houses.
- Matches are held on a weekly basis, with occasional exemptions granted at the discretion of the Squad Authority.
- Occasionally, special editions of the Silken Vanguard may be held with a different format (e.g., altered seeding, extra rounds, or unique match rules). These will be announced together with the tournament details.
Team Composition
- Each House must assign five (5) players + two (2) sub players to represent them in the tournament.
- All matches are played in Best of 3 format unless otherwise stated for special editions.
Player Eligibility
- Only Sentinels holding any of the following ranks are eligible to participate in Silken Vanguard matches:
- Trusted Sentinel
- Loyal Sentinel
- Elite Sentinel
- Honorary Sentinel
- Eternal Sentinel
- If a House does not have enough eligible players, they may field unqualified players by:
- Pay 50 Silk Coins per unqualified player, or
- Deduct 200 Squad Points from the player
- All required payments or deductions must be settled before match time.
Standard Seeding & Bracket Format
- Houses are seeded #1 to #6 based on the latest official House Rankings.
- Matches follow a single-elimination bracket:
- Match 1: Rank 1 vs Rank 2 → Winner advances directly to Finals; loser is eliminated.
- Match 2: Rank 3 vs Rank 4 → Winner advances; loser is eliminated.
- Match 3: Rank 5 vs Rank 6 → Winner advances; loser is eliminated.
- Match 4 (Semi Finals): Winner of Match 2 vs Winner of Match 3 → Winner advances to Finals.
- Match 5 (Finals): Winner of Match 4 vs Winner of Match 1 → Winner is crowned Silken Vanguard Champion.
Match Readiness & Defaults
- Once all players in the lobby have set their status to “Ready”, it is considered an official signal of match readiness.
- Any issues or substitution requests must be raised before clicking Ready.
- The initial waiting period before declaring a default is 20 minutes from the scheduled match time.
- This may be extended up to 30 minutes at the discretion of the Squad Authority for valid reasons.
- Beyond this time, the absent team may be disqualified, and penalties will apply.
Additional Ban Mechanics
- Each team is entitled to two (2) additional hero bans, outside the in-game draft system.
- These bans are manual and must be respected as if they were part of the official draft.
- The House Warden or their designated substitute must inform their team’s in-lobby captain of the additional bans before the lobby is launched.
- The in-lobby captain is responsible for ensuring the team does not pick any of the manually banned heroes.
- Manual bans must also be announced clearly to the opposing team and the match host through the official communication channel (e.g., group chat or match thread).
- Picking a manually banned hero results in escalating penalties*:
- First offense: -100 House Points
- Second offense: -200 House Points
- Third offense: Automatic disqualification
- If there is a Prize Booster in the match (edition per se):
- First offense: Deduction of 20% of rewards from the Prize Booster for the offending House.
- Second offense: Deduction of 30% of rewards from the Prize Booster for the offending House.
- Third offense: Forfeiture of all rewards from the Prize Booster for the offending House.
Match Rules
- Silken Vanguard matches are conducted using the standard Mobile Legends Draft Pick mode.
- There is no locked role selection; each team is free to set their player roles during the draft phase.
- Teams are responsible for coordinating their picks and compositions within the time limits of the in-game draft.
Substitution Rules
- Only two (2) substitutions are allowed per team during the entire tournament session.
- The Warden of the House must oversee substitutions.
