The Usurpation Match is a redemption-based qualification system that allows a defaulting House to reclaim eligibility by challenging and seizing a tournament slot from another House.
βοΈ Eligibility Requirement
A House that has defaulted must:
- Pay either:
- 500 House Points, or
- 500 Silk Coins
π Payment is required before the Usurpation Match is scheduled.
π² Opponent Selection
- The opposing House will be determined via Online Duck Race Picker (randomized selection system).
- Once selected, the chosen House is obligated to participate in the Usurpation Match.
π Scheduling Rules
- The Usurpation Match CANNOT be held on the same day as the tournament.
- The match must take place exactly one (1) day after the defaulting House officially requests the challenge.
- Schedule is set and announced by Squad Authority.
βοΈ Match Format
- Mode: 5v5 Custom Game
- Format: Best of 3 (BO3)
- Ruleset: Silken Vanguard Standard Rules
- Full roster is expected; substitutes must be declared prior.
π Outcome & Consequences
β If the Challenger (Default House) Wins:
- Successfully takes the tournament slot
- Earns designation: βUsurper Houseβ
- Gains eligibility to participate in the upcoming tournament
β If the Challenger Loses:
- Remains disqualified for the tournament cycle
- Payment (House Points or Silk Coins) is non-refundable
π For the Defeated House:
- Immediately loses their tournament slot
- Will NOT be allowed to participate in the upcoming tournament
π¨ Compulsory Participation Clause
- The selected opposing House is REQUIRED to appear at the scheduled Usurpation Match.
- Failure to appear (no-show, incomplete roster, or refusal to play) will result in: β Automatic forfeiture of their tournament slot
π Slot is immediately awarded to the Challenger House
π No appeals will be entertained for failure to comply.
π¨ Additional Notes
- The Usurpation Match is a one-time opportunity per default occurrence
- Any violation of match rules may result in instant forfeiture
- All rulings by Squad Authority are final and binding
